About the role:

As an Access Authorization Specialist, you will process pre-employment background investigations with the potential to expand until nuclear background processing. This tole will ensure background checks comply with the requirements of Westinghouse policies, procedures and applicable parts of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). You will maintain the security and confidentiality of all Security Organization operations and information.

You will report to the Manager, Access Programs and be located at our Madison, PA location. You will be a hybrid/mobile position.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Follow the established Access Authorization security procedures in addition to any state or federal guidelines*



  • Communicate with employees and non-employees, foreign and domestic, to gather personal and confidential information about background investigations, drug/alcohol test results, and training records used to determine trustworthiness and reliability for access authorization.*



  • Review appropriate site criteria and identify the individual's qualifications to determine the suitability of the individual for access authorization using manual or electronic systems.*



  • Create/review files for incoming or existing personnel and prepare appropriate documentation to request unescorted access for individuals working on Westinghouse sites or assignments.*



  • Maintain knowledge of the regulatory, customer and Westinghouse operating procedures and other guidance; and maintain strict confidentiality and security of all access authorization documentation and files*



  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor or management




Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent



  • Proficient in Microsoft office*



  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and regulatory required background investigations to include but not limited to criminal, traffic, fingerprint records check, work references, and education history.
