Ophthalmic Technician (Per Diem)

Opportunity Details:

• Support Ophthalmologists and Optometrists in preparing patients for eye exams and eye procedures in a fast-paced, high patient volume hospital setting.
• Take visual acuity patient.
• Experience in ophthalmic photography and imaging tests, including visual fields, OCTs, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography, ERG, and other auxiliary ophthalmic imaging.
• Assist clinic in optimizing patient flow, patient management, and patient education. This may include some administrative work and calling patients.
• Perform Optical Coherence Tomography and endothelial cell counts on referred patients.

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One or more years of ophthalmic training and familiarity with ophthalmic medical terminology and usage of imaging equipment.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, and strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Formal ophthalmic training, understanding of ophthalmic equipment, and testing preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.

Per Diem Rate = $36.73 per hour
