On the Waymo Marketing team, you will help to connect people with the magic and impact of Waymo's autonomous driving technology. Our team has the unique opportunity to not only grow Waymo's brand from the ground up, but to also build societal acceptance for autonomous driving technology for the first time in history. We build thoughtful marketing strategy, positioning, messaging and creative assets to deliver messages that matter to our audience, communicated through anything from video content, to social media interactions, to immersive physical experiences. We also shape Waymo's go-to-market initiatives, helping to transform Waymo into a thriving business with a growing user base.

In this hybrid role, you will report into our Creative Marketing Lead.

You will:



  • Pioneer bold, original creative that effectively meets diverse stakeholder and communication needs in an emerging, frontier industry.
  • Drive high-visibility marketing initiatives with boundary-pushing creative across film, photography, 3D, experiential, and interactive content.
  • Ensure consistent brand alignment across all platforms by championing cohesive design systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee external design partners and agencies, guaranteeing high-quality creative and streamlining high-volume requests from diverse stakeholders.
  • Optimize creative performance through data-driven insights and continuous research.
  • Enhance ideation and accelerate production by strategically leveraging AI-powered tools.


You have:



  • Proven leadership of creative teams within transportation tech or similar fast-paced industries.
  • Deep expertise in film/photography, 3D, motion design, and interactive storytelling, with a proven ability to adapt creative for optimal impact across social, digital, web, experiential, and print channels.
  • Track record of creating and integrating design systems into high-quality, scalable creative work.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product, policy, and engineering teams.
  • Portfolio showcasing distinctive, culturally resonant creative across campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Strategic and data-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize and focus teams on high-impact projects.


We prefer:



  • 5+ years of experience leading design teams.
  • 10+ years experience as a creative at an agency or an in-house marketing team.
  • Hands-on experience across film, photography, 3D, motion, and interactive design.
  • Experience effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of inspiring, directing, and workshopping interdisciplinary designers and creatives.
  • Adept at using AI to enhance ideation and accelerate production.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process.
