The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate Tax Director to lead and support our non-US regional tax managers in the preparation and review of local tax provision packages. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with USGAAP tax reporting standards under ASC 740 and will play a key role in managing the non-US return-to-provision process. The ideal candidate will also drive the development of a forecasting process for USGAAP-to-statutory financial statement differences to enhance visibility into global cash tax exposures.

This position will serve as a key interlock between the non-US regional tax teams and the USGAAP consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely integration of local tax data into the global tax provision.

Essential Skills, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide non-US regional tax managers in the preparation of local tax provision packages, ensuring alignment with ASC 740 and USGAAP standards.

  • Review and validate tax inputs and calculations to ensure accuracy and consistency across jurisdictions.

  • Manage the non-US return-to-provision (RTP) process, including variance analysis and reconciliation.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional tax teams and the USGAAP consolidation process to ensure seamless integration of global tax data.

  • Develop and implement a forecasting framework for USGAAP-to-statutory differences to support cash tax planning and risk management.

  • Collaborate with global finance, controllership, and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.

  • Support internal and external audit processes related to non-US tax provisions.

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant tax experience, including significant exposure to ASC 740 and international tax reporting.

  • Strong technical knowledge of USGAAP and global tax provision processes.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-border teams and complex tax reporting workflows.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $120,360 to $228,840 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $132,480 to $274,560

Colorado: $120,360 to $228,840

New York City: $144,480 to $274,560

Washington: $132,480 to $251,640

Washington DC: $132,480 to $251,640

This position will be eligible for Kyndryls discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryls applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
