Description

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for being the first point of contact for patients as they begin their therapy care.

This is a full-time, remote position working M-F from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, supporting our Corporate Office in Bloomington, MN.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:



  • Provide initial support and guidance to patients through phone and text interactions
  • Coordinate a variety of work list queues based on patient contact methods which could include inbound calls, outbound calls and texting
  • Proficiently create a new account in the practice management system
  • Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment information, directions, check-in times, and referral information
  • Verify and accurately document patient insurance information and maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
  • Perform efficient scheduling with attention to detail using practice management software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensure accuracy and consistency in patient communications, adhering to company protocols and standards
  • Engage in clear, professional communication, both written and verbal, with both internal and external clients, patients and staff
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to PHI and HIPAA guidelines
  • Respond to inquiries and relay information without delay, maintaining open lines of communication
  • All other duties as assigned


        Education and Experience Requirements:



        • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
        • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
        • Customer Service experience required
        • Experience with accurate and proficient written communication
        • i-Health Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
