The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Torrance State Hospital is dedicated to providing continued treatment and rehabilitation to individuals who have been adjudicated of certain sex crimes and are nearing their 21st birthday. We are actively seeking individuals with experience working with troubled youth or sex offenders to join our Sexual Responsibility Treatment Program (SRTP) team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in breaking the cycle of sexual violence and abuse by providing high-energy, compassionate, and detail-oriented care to these individuals. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program Aide, you will have a crucial role in providing necessary care and support to residents. Your responsibilities will include conducting therapeutic activities, monitoring residents' behavioral plans, and assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and room cleanliness. In this role, you will also be responsible for providing instructions and assistance to residents, promoting behavioral change, and maintaining a safe environment. To ensure preparedness for any emergencies, you will be trained in CPR and crisis intervention techniques. You will also be responsible for keeping a detailed log of residents' behaviors and documenting any challenges or progress in achieving their individualized treatment plan goals.

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Rotating schedule, working weekends and holidays as assigned
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Psychiatric or Therapeutic Activities Aide (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Eighteen (18) months of experience in the care, activities and personal guidance of individuals in a behavioral, educational or community-based program.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
