Job Summary

Handle the Business Development & Sales role for our CDMO, Fine Chemicals. Responsible for serving existing customers & identification & acquisition of new customers, while expanding current portfolio, market reach and scaling up sales with large innovators.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Identifying & developing new business opportunities for existing products.
  • Identifying & developing new products for Speciality Chemicals Business
  • Collaboration with Business Heads & all stakeholders for developing a business plan for new products, applications & markets

Market Intelligence

  • Market Intelligence on Products and Competitors
  • Key account management & Customer relationship Management.
  • Working on contracts & Agreements along with legal teams within organization.

Relationship Management:

  • Understanding requirements of clients and how organizations strengths, capabilities & capacities match these requirements in long terms that is mutually beneficial to both organizations.
  • Identification of new areas within organization for building healthy/ strong pipeline for new business engagements for new and existing clients.
  • Key accounts management of clients in enduring client delight and expanding client portfolio within organization through strong client relationship management.
  • Bringing New RFP & Closing deals for multi-year Contracts
  • Understanding the regulatory requirements for both Chemical, Pharma & Agro Industry.
  • Trackingof market developments & competition of existing product.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals.
  • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for business development activities.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and ROI of business development initiatives.

Key Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to convert ideas into viable business opportunities
  • Good analytical, communication & presentation skills
  • Good inter personal & people management skills
  • Business scanning
  • Multidisciplinary knowledge - market / technical / commercial
  • Knowledge of global customers
  • Should have access to Innovator Pharma & Agro Chemical Companies and their CDMO Sourcing teams.

Role Expectation in USD 125 million in the next 5 years

Qualification & Experience
  • Candidates with Chemical Technology background and MBA
  • About 20+ Years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Key Account Management.
  • Conversant in English (both written & spoken)

  • Good inter personal and people management skills. Excellent in verbal and written communications.
  • A strategic thinker and a result-driven doer, has the ability to understand business needs, provide strategic support, find the solutions and put good ideas into action.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Able to work effectively within a global business culture whilst also adaptable to the local cultural environment.
  • Open to Work From Home arrangement
  • Should be open to Travel across US with occasional travel to India, and should have widely traveled for Pharma Customers.
  • Representing Jubilant in relevant Trade Fairs.
