Job Description

About the Position: The Programmatic Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing the setup, performance, optimizations and reporting for Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) deals to drive revenue growth. This role requires advanced analytical skills, particularly in Excel, as well as proficiency in data visualization and programmatic advertising technologies. The successful candidate will support sales teams, manage programmatic operations, and ensure seamless communication across internal and external stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with industry veterans and develop deep expertise in programmatic advertising and yield optimization. Hybrid 3x a week - New York, NY In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. Key Responsibilities:
  • Programmatic Deal Setup & Ad Product Testing:
    • Managing daily operational functions as related to the Programmatic advertising stack, and ensuring SLA's are met/monitored for the entire team. This includes assigning PMP deal creation to analysts and off-shore teams, ensuring troubleshooting and ad-hoc reporting requests are completed within SLA's, and acting as a subject matter expert on processes and policy.
    • Perform tests in SSPs and DSPs for new products and develop/document processes for use across multiple teams. Includes educating Sales and Account Strategy to ensure team members are up-to-date on DDM's constantly evolving suite of products and solutions.
  • Programmatic Sales Support Operations and Reporting:
    • Deliver weekly state-of-the-business updates, providing insights that inform sales strategies and operational decisions.
    • Maintain a structured approach to daily tasks, ensuring timely and accurate communication of analytical findings to sales teams. Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making and foster collaboration.
    • Develop, maintain, and present programmatic performance reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel or Looker.
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to supply performance benchmarks, trends, and client spend data to programmatic and direct sales teams.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in digital publishing, programmatic advertising, or yield management. Experience with SSPs is desired. Advanced DSP buying experience is preferred, specifically in DV360, TTD, and Amazon.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, apply if/then statements, and build data-driven visualizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Sisense is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex insights clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive, revenue-focused, and motivated by achieving tangible results.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
