Job Description:

Job Summary
  • Administers and reports on all warranty remedies and cost recovery opportunities available to SWA. Oversees claims for aircraft repairs and other performance guarantees. Serves as an experienced warranty/cost recovery point of contact for Internal Stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Act as warranty liaison for other departments by keeping them updated on warranty activity, responding to inquiries, and supplying feedback to Maintenance and Engineering Teams system-wide
  • Review Engineering documents to ensure warranty provisions are entered into databases and properly tracked to facilitate preparation of cost benefit analyses and recommended courses of action
  • Monitor and track newly released and updated recommended aircraft modifications to determine if costs should be reimbursed regardless of whether or not warranty remedies are offered
  • Ensure filing of warranty and reimbursement claims by tracking work in appropriate systems
  • Review manufacturers' program letters and service bulletins for available warranty remedies and ensure warranty database is updated
  • Track completion of engineering orders and tasks with warranty remedy provisions for timely and accurate filing of claims
  • Build partnerships with suppliers and/or manufacturers to quickly resolve disputes with warranty disposition
  • Train less experienced Warranty Analysts and guide peers and other Team Members
  • Coordinate with multiple departments in negotiating business considerations to offset financial and operational impacts of aircraft defects and maintenance issues in which warranty is not offered
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in aircraft repair operations, data collection and analysis, and structuring information in a logical and coherent manner
  • Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data including turning raw data into meaningful information
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in generating a range of solutions and courses of action with benefits, costs, and risks associated with each
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to accomplish goal
  • Ability to maintain focus on relevant issues even when confronted with a large amount or contradictory data
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Business management and operations principals
    • Warranty administration and aerospace industry
    • Technical Operations or Supply Chain organization

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
  • Must have the flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, and Company holidays

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $74,950.00 per year to $83,300.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
