Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking Agile Coach to support our federal client, located in Washington, DC.



Responsibilities

Agile Transformation & Strategy:

    Lead enterprise Agile transformation efforts, providing strategic guidance to teams and leadership.
  • Develop and implement a standardized Agile framework and playbooks to drive consistent Agile adoption.
  • Define and refine Agile governance models, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Transformation Office Committee (TOC) and subcommittees to advance Agile maturity.

Coaching & Mentoring:

  • Provide hands-on coaching to teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership to enhance Agile competencies.
  • Mentor Agile practitioners to build internal coaching capabilities and sustain Agile excellence.
  • Lead role-based training for Agile roles, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Release Coordinators, and Portfolio Managers.
  • Support change management efforts to cultivate an Agile mindset at all organizational levels.

Agile Training & Learning Culture:

  • Design and deliver Agile training programs for teams and executives, tailored to different maturity levels.
  • Establish a knowledge-sharing culture through communities of practice, cross-team demos, and Agile playbooks.
  • Enhance the Agile Center of Excellence by optimizing training roadmaps and learning materials.
  • Conduct quarterly updates to Agile training content and methodologies.

Agile Performance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and track Agile delivery metrics, providing insights to measure team and program performance.
  • Conduct quarterly Agile maturity assessments and report findings to leadership.
  • Optimize Agile workflows and toolsets to improve transparency, visibility, and reporting.
  • Drive the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) to enhance budgeting and resource allocation.

Agile Scaling & Implementation:

  • Guide and support the launch of new Agile teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in scaling Agile practices across divisions and programs.
  • Implement Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean to improve value delivery.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to enhance engagement, efficiency, and innovation.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile coaching, Agile transformation, or enterprise Agile adoption.
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Agile Coaching Certification (ICP-ACC), or equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Portfolio Management.
  • Proven experience leading Agile transformations in large-scale, complex organizations.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • Experience working in government, quasi-governmental, or highly regulated environments is a plus
