What We DoResponsible for building products and functionality for client applications with a specialization in the design, development and testing of software systems for software enhancements and new products. Works with a cross-functional team to deliver timely, high quality and well tested code.

  • Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
  • Mentors, coaches, and deeply contributes to the career development of their team and others.
  • Leads delivery of major initiatives on clear timelines.
  • Communicates timelines, scope and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying roadblocks for their team.
  • Partners effectively outside their area to manage projects.
  • Works to develop holistic perspective on the organization, its vision and its activities.
  • Builds a strong culture of open communication, where teammates can ask questions without fear.
  • Supervise an autonomous cross-functional team responsible for delivering timely, high-quality, and well-tested code
  • Coach technical leads and individual contributor reports
  • Work with PMs to ensure timely releases and well-tested features
  • Help set standards regarding infrastructure, architecture, quality and testing strategy
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
  • Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years' experience building full stack applications using modern frameworks, robust testing practices and application monitoring tools
  • 4+ years managing engineering teams
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities and a pragmatic approach to balancing delivery vs. technical debt
  • A track record of proven good judgment and successfully executed high-level projects
  • Experience architecting and building highly available and resilient distributed systems

SALARY RANGE

$145,000 - $193,000

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
