Specialized Unit Details:

24 bed Oncology Unit with a BMT specialty component, an emphasis on the acute hematology patients and symptom management for all persons experiencing issues related to their cancer diagnosis.

Unit/Schedule



  • 5A - Inpatient Oncology Unit
  • Full-time 36 hours/week, benefitted
  • 12-hour night shifts, (7p -7a).



Minimum Education and Experience:



  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses
  • 1+ year RN experience
  • Chemo/Bio Therapy Certification preferred or obtain within the first year of hire; fully paid by Sibley Memorial Hospital.
  • AHA CPR card

Salary Range: Minimum $39.61/hour - Maximum $61.40/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
