Your role

As a Sales Engineer for Atlas Copco, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our sales channels with the ultimate objective of driving increased market share and sales volume for our comprehensive range of products, including compressors, generators, energy management equipment, light towers, and pumps within the designated territory of California. This territory includes the key city of Anaheim, and applicants must reside within 50 miles of this area.

Your day-to-day efforts will involve implementing strategic initiatives that align with our overarching company goals, focusing on sustainable and profitable growth in the service and parts business. The penetration into the sales channels, coupled with delivering world-class customer service, is essential to our endeavor of becoming the preferred choice in the minds of our customers.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Cultivating and expanding Atlas Copco's shop and field service offerings in California.
  • Conducting effective sales and account management to meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.
  • Fostering strategic relationships with key accounts to facilitate growth opportunities in both visible and hidden markets.
  • Enhancing partnerships with National Accounts to maximize synergies within key operations.
  • Collaborating across various teams, including Service Managers and Technicians, to develop innovative solutions and share critical information with customers.
  • Increasing market awareness and understanding of Atlas Copco service products across all sales channels.
  • Supporting parts, kits, and lubricants business in alignment with the operational strategies of the Regional Aftermarket Sales Manager.


Travel Requirements:

You should be prepared for extensive travel, primarily by airplane or automobile, as approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to visiting clients across your designated area and other domestic or international locations as necessary.

To succeed, you will need

Experience:



  • We welcome entry-level applicants with a minimum of one to two years of relevant experience in capital equipment or service sales. However, those with varying backgrounds are encouraged to apply as we appreciate all perspectives.


Education:



  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or engineering is advantageous, coupled with at least one year of pertinent experience, or a blend of education and experience.


Skills:



  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively analyze market trends and industry standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored for various audiences.
  • Critical thinking capabilities to solve complex problems and provide insightful recommendations.

As per California's pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, with the final amounts tailored to your qualifications and experiences. Additionally, a performance-based commission structure supplements your base salary, with the potential to significantly increase your total compensation based on your sales achievements.



  • Earning potential through commissions is projected to range from $15,000 to $35,000 per year, contingent upon sales performance and target attainment.

Job location

This role is primarily remote, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere within the California region. You are expected to be associated with our customer center based in Anaheim, ensuring you are well-positioned to meet client needs effectively.
