JOB OVERVIEW:

The Provider Marketing and Sales Manager is responsible for driving organizational growth and overseeing the operational execution of the Provider Marketing Program, with a strong focus on revenue growth, provider engagement, and business development. This role manages a dedicated team, develops performance-driven programs, and shapes long-term monetization strategies that align with the company's growth objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and executing sales plans, leading monetization initiatives, managing budgets and performance targets, and identifying new channels to unlock revenue opportunities. The role also collaborates cross-functionally across Henry Schein One to generate leads, strengthen referral pipelines, and enhance brand visibility through integrated marketing efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing provider marketing team.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly execution plans to meet sales and performance targets.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of top talent in the business development function.
  • Own the development and execution of provider-facing marketing strategies, including campaign messaging, product education, and competitive positioning to drive provider engagement and participation.
  • Develop and implement monetization strategies that optimize performance and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Ensure dentist list integrity and refine processes and data collection to implement advanced solutions.
  • Own the eligibility verification process by streamlining systems and workflows, while ensuring clear, consistent communication to both members and providers.
  • Lead sales program design, including messaging, training, and counter-competitive tactics tailored to dental providers.
  • Identify high-value opportunities and lead initiatives to achieve revenue growth
  • Partner with marketing and demand generation teams to create campaigns that resonate with target markets
  • Partner with marketing and demand generation teams to track metrics on lead referrals, develop spiffs and help move leads through the funnel
  • Plan, execute on key dental industry trade shows and events to elevate brand visibility, generate quality leads, ensure conversion to enrolled and producing accounts, and build awareness among prospective providers.
  • Oversee daily operations, including lead management, performance tracking, and process improvement.
  • Manage internal workflows and relationships, resolving service, technology, or sales issues that impact performance.
  • Conduct QA and call reviews to maintain quality standards.
  • Establish and manage a dentist advisory board to collect actionable feedback, validate program value, and inform ongoing marketing and product initiatives.
  • Use insights to refine provider strategy and enhance the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to launch integrated campaigns, execute lead transfer processes, and align provider efforts with broader business goals.
  • Maintain a continuous feedback loop with Product to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Monitor and drive team metrics and business trends, proactively addressing challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly & quarterly reports, presentations, and recommendations to keep senior leadership informed.

SCOPE:

Typically, manage professional staff within a section(s) of a department, a small department or multiple smaller processes. Focus primarily on the job and not supervising day-to-day activities. Responsible for meeting the operating objectives of the department. Provide direction to staff within the latitude of established company policies. Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Management moderately reviews work on non-routine issues and situations to measure meeting of objectives.

COMPLEXITY:

Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Full knowledge within sub-function derived from experience in non-management roles.

STRATEGY:

Implement strategy to further a section of a sub-function's larger goals through the work of professional staff. May recommend changes to policies/work practices and establish procedures that affect the sub-function.

SUPERVISION:

Typically manage work and goals of professional level staff performing non-routine work or who manage a process or system.

INTERACTION:

Interact with management and/or customers, normally involving matters between functional areas. May lead a collaborative effort among members of a project team.

MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

Typically, can hire, terminate, or promote; another level of approval may be required. Typically makes decisions on salary increases, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically, 7 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; first-level manager.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically, a bachelor's degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

  • Experience with digital marketing, value-based content development, tradeshows and dentist marketing and sales
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and identify trends and inconsistencies to develop action plans for improvement
  • Desire to establish and build relationships between organizations and teams that drive success.
  • Strong ability to design and communicate plans and results to stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently orchestrate, prioritize and manage multiple projects, from concept through implementation.
  • Experienced in Managing Commission and Incentive Programs for agents
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation
  • Knowledge of relational database design and reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, math, and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meeting expectations or consistently exceed expectations.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
