Summary of the Job:

The Director of Banking Outreach will manage strategies, programs, and team members focused on growing FNBO's Small Business and Consumer customer base through being a trusted partner with emerging growth customers and by advancing banking capabilities.

About This Role:

Growing SMB & Consumer Customers: Grow and advise SMB and consumer customers beyond the traditional branch banking environment

  • Develop and execute strategies to engage and grow emerging growth consumer and small business customers
  • Identify opportunities to promote the bank's products to meet the financial goals of customers
  • Partner with marketing to develop, prioritize, and implement marketing enhancements

Manages Banking Outreach Team & Performance: Lead a high-performance team to grow, advise, and retain emerging growth customers through understanding and addressing their financial needs

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on striving for excellence and consistently raising the bar
  • Create focus through setting measurable goals, communicating performance / progress, and leading with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ensure team is skilled at providing potential customers value through financial education, networking and community resources, and helping them obtain banking products and services

Advance Banking Capabilities: Manage the roadmap to continuously improve capabilities (product, data, digital, training, marketing, ops) that improve the customer and employee experience (initial focus Limited English Proficiency)

  • Supports leader in development and owns ongoing documentation of the Banking Outreach strategy and roadmap
  • Leads working group of cross functional stakeholders to gather input and share progress against Banking Outreach strategic roadmap
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure the bank's offerings and practices remain competitive
  • Ensure bank's products and services are culturally relevant and accessible to customers
  • Partner with product, digital, and data teams to develop, prioritize, and implement enhancements
  • Partner with internal resources to train and support employees on how to best grow and advise limited English proficiency customers

Management Oversight

  • Partner with the risk and compliance team to ensure appropriate oversight, practices, documentation is in place and reviewed regularly
  • Ensure the bank's limited English proficiency banking products, services, processes, marketing are compliant with regulations
  • Ensure Banking Outreach strategies and supporting materials are well documented

Community Partnerships: Work with IMPACT team to strategically partner with key community organizations to promote access to FNBO advisors, financial resources, and access to banking services with a focus on growing core customers

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with community organizations in line with the Banking Outreach strategy
  • Serve as the face to FNBO for Banking Outreach programs

Financial Education & Events: Plan and manage efforts to facilitate workshops and events that educate potential customers about financial topics (growing / managing SMBs, budgeting, saving, investing, credit mgmt., financial planning)

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Experience in banking or financial services with Small Business and/or Consumer customers
  • Experience working with or managing emerging customer growth customers and programs
  • Experience managing a customer facing team preferred
  • Experience partnering with community organizations and leaders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess market needs, forecast trends, and devise strategies to meet business needs

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $95,857.00-$162,957.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
