In this position, you will apply robust electrical engineering processes working closely with the electrical team. If you have hands-on fabrication skills (soldering, cable making, oscilloscope, voltmeter, small hand tools, crimper, PCB assembly) and skills in electronic circuits, semiconductors, logic design, schematic capture and PCB layout, cable/harness design, and microcomputers, this is a great opportunity for you to join a team that provides critical support to our warfighters. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA. Responsibilities: 
 
     
 Communicate and collaborate with electrical engineering team to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document solutionsParticipate in installation, integration, and testing of developed changesDesign custom printed circuit boards using ARM based micro controllers to operate weapons on platforms employing BMSDesign harnesses and cabling between the circuit board and external interfacesCreate engineering documentation for Technical Design Packages to include fabrication and assembly instructionsAssist in trouble-shooting and initial startup of new circuit board designsCollaborate with the Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Software, and Quality Assurance TeamsAssess operational performance criteria and provide input for improving performanceDevelop status reports detailing progress and performance results and present the reports oral
 
Essential Skills and Experience:  
 
     
 Must be a U.S. Citizenand be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security ClearanceA Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or equivalent experience such as direct hands-on experience with a weapon system applicationTwo (2) years experience providing design concepts, performance analyses, and test and evaluation to a system development teamExperience demonstrating knowledge of electrical engineering best practices and the ability to work in a rapid development processProficiency with PCB design software (OrCad Cadence preferred) Proficiency with creating cable drawings (Vizio preferred)Knowledge of the best practices of tactical software designFamiliarity with SolidWorksAbility to work in a dynamic environment with evolving program requirementsAbility to define tasks and project completion schedulesAbility to work effectively in a team environment
