Job Summary |
Graduate research assistants (GRAs) are students who, in the course of their academic training, are employed in part-time or temporary research positions, where the student's academic training is based in part on the research performed or where the research duties being performed will assist the student in fulfilling his or her degree requirements. All duties and services of GRAs are to be carried out under the supervision and direction of faculty or administration. A
GRA is an aid to a researcher in terms of investigations, exploration, and inquires regarding a particular subject matter. In the performance of their duties, they must abide and adhere to the graduation and instruction criteria and policies established by the College of Nursing. All duties and services of the Research Assistant are to be carried out under the supervision and direction of Associate Dean for Research (
ADR). The Research Assistant is an integrated part of the ADR's office and will assist with advancing CON's research mission. |
Essential Functions |
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Prepare interview questionnaires and survey.
- Coordinate research activities.
- Recruit and/or interview subjects, and maintain accurate records of interviews and clinical data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects as necessary.
- Collate information and enter and analyze data.
- Prepare materials needed for research seminars and conferences.
- Summarize project results.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Enrolled as an Auburn University graduate student.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in science or health discipline.
Expectations:
- Experience working with patient populations and recruitment.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with clinical trials or funded research projects.
- Experience with specialized software or data sets as required by the ADR.
