Position Title: CNC Machinist
Wage: $26/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2pm-10pm Now hiring a CNC Operator II on 2nd and 3rd shift. Ready to take your machining skills to the next level? Join our client company as a CNC Operator II on their 2nd or 3rd shift and operate high-tech machines-including up to 5-axis CNCs-in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. You'll perform setups, run production, and help maintain precision standards that keep us at the forefront of fabrication. CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate computer-controlled fabrication machines, including punch press, milling machines, saws, and secondary equipment as required - Perform machine setups using existing work instructions to ensure efficient and accurate production - Inspect machined parts using calipers, fixed gauges, and other measuring instruments to verify quality standards - Maintain machine operation by assisting with tool offsets, tool changes, jaw changes, and fixture adjustments - Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition - Follow both oral and written instructions and procedures accurately - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for all personnel - Consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined by department guidelines - Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead CNC Machinist Requirements: - High school diploma or GED preferred - Minimum of 12 months of experience operating CNC machinery in a similar manufacturing environment - Strong understanding of G-code and basic CNC programming concepts - Basic computer entry and data logging skills - Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) - Ability to read, count, and accurately measure materials and parts - Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Work performed in a manufacturing environment without climate control - Mandatory overtime may be required depending on production needs - Possible exposure to hazardous substances associated with fabrication processes QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
