ABOUT HEARTLAND

Heartland Behavioral Health Services has been providing care for children and adolescents for over 100 years in Nevada, Missouri. We treat male and female patients ages 4 through 17 in both acute as well as residential programs for conditions ranging from depression, anxiety and other mood disorders to recovering from a traumatic event. All of our programs have been designed and tailored to help our patients grow and prosper.

Heartland is nestled within 50 secluded acres in Nevada, Missouri, providing the perfect rural area setting for our residents to heal and grow. ACCOUNTING CLERK

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Office/Accounting Clerk to join our team. The position performs a variety of clerical tasks and duties required in collecting accounts receivable. Work is performed under general supervision when standard practice enables the employee to proceed alone with regular duties, referring all questionable cases to the supervisor. This position requires proficiency in data entry and familiarity with various accounting software, making it essential for the candidate to be adept at handling financial transactions and reconciliations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Responsible and accountable for electronic billing including professional fee billing activities and tracking of this facility function including charge sheet functions and batching .
  • Understanding of billing and collection processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments.
  • Maintains Petty Cash fund by disbursing funds as requested, submitting check request for replenishment, and verifying balance weekly.

Requirements

  • Two years experience in billing and collection process.
  • Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliations effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
