The Position
We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love The Translational Medicine (TM-OMNI) Department is at the forefront of translational research, shaping clinical development for key therapeutic areas including Ophthalmology, Metabolism, Neuroscience, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases. Our work focuses on biomarker discovery, personalized healthcare strategies, drug pharmacology and mechanism of action, and translational research to elucidate the molecular and cellular bases of diseases. This work propels drug development and the identification of novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers. We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist Lab Group Head to spearhead translational research in obesity and associated co-morbidities within TM-OMNI. This role involves providing scientific direction, identifying innovative treatment strategies for obesity using human data, and developing novel approaches to accelerate clinical development through biomarkers. The Principal Scientist will design translational experiments and utilize human clinical samples along with in-depth molecular and cellular phenotyping techniques to study disease heterogeneity and therapeutic modification, thus enhancing our understanding of disease pathogenesis for drug discovery and development. Relocation benefits are available for this posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $141,500-$262,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
