Responsibilities

Therapist

Diamond Grove Center is searching for a skilled and experienced, master prepared Therapist. This position will be fulltime the hours will consist of 8:00am-5:00pm Monday thru Friday, weekends off.

Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital. Therapist will complete the following:

  • Therapist provide essential componentws of the overall treatment program through interventions and modalities.
  • Assures completion of all needed assessments within 24 hours of contact wit evidence by chart notation.
  • Conducts individual, famil and group therpy/education sessions.
  • Conducts and records behavioral assessments of each patient as outlined by the treatment plane evidenced by progress notes.
  • Conducr group therapy as outlined by the tretment plan as evidenced by progress notes.
  • Conducts family therapy sessions and coordinates family involvement as evience by progress notes.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with referral sources/or community resources to enhance smooth transition back into the community.
  • Performs other duty as assigned/required by this position.
  • Documents treatment plans showing ability to intervene unsing techniques specific for ae and developmental leels. Assures treatment plan is reviewd with parents/guardian in a timely manner at least 1x monthly.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year experience (internship may be included) in a psychiatric or clinical setting. Have a Masters degree in a Behavioral Science field or the behavioral sciences from an accredited school.

SPECIAL SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be eligible to qualify for CPI and CPR certification

2. Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

3. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
