Purpose of Job This position is responsible for providing sleep therapy equipment services to patients. The position also strongly recommends familiarity with Nebulizer, Oxygen, and Phototherapy equipment to provide service support. Job Functions Acts as an expert resource for all home medical equipment and services. Works with Program Supervisor and colleagues to assist patients in obtaining prescribed equipment in accordance with respective insurance and therapy requirements. Performs setup, instruction and education of CPAP, BiPAP, Nebulizers, Oxygen, and Phototherapy. Discusses patient insurance policy and payer requirements along with potential out-of-pocket expenses Troubleshoots equipment issues and therapy concerns with customers. Contacts physician and/or other healthcare team members regarding orders, complications and recommendations. Documents and monitors patient data in accordance with policy and procedure requirements. Participates in educational in-services to staff and public. Participates in on-call rotation Performs other duties as assigned. Employment Requirements Minimum Education/Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of previous Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in sleep therapy (PAP) equipment Familiarity with online remote PAP monitoring software Familiarity with Brightree software Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications Strong communication skills Ability to relate confidence with patients, physicians and other staff to project a positive first impression Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Link to Employee Health Physical Demands Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
