Electronic Repair Depot Technician 3

Job Summary:

• Have a more advanced understanding of schematics, part/wire lists, test procedures, work orders, customer specifications
• Diagnoses, locates, troubleshoots malfunction, and repairs as needed.
• Sets up and operates electronic test equipment to perform complex operational and functional tests on assemblies and sub-assemblies (with limited assistance from senior personnel).
• Assists other less senior technicians in solving unusual problems in the hardware and electronic systems as required.
• Assists senior personnel in the performance of their duties when needed
• Builds cable assemblies and PCB's as required (with limited assistance from senior personnel).
• Identifies and analyzes equipment malfunctions and test equipment, wiring diagrams, schematics, electronics devices and electrical equipment, to rework, repair and maintain equipment (with limited assistance from senior personnel).
• Performs technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in nature.
• Maintains appropriate records and documentation in accordance with depot procedures and requirements. (examples including, SAP, Data collection documents)
• Provides feedback to their supervisor and planning on time restraints and productivity goals set by management.
• Possesses ability to understand verbal instructions to rework, repairs, test, troubleshoot and maintain equipment and PCB's.
• Able to identify continuous improvements in processes and workflows
• Must be able to work in an adaptive/flexible work environment
• Must be able to take guidance/direction from senior personnel.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Two years college/tech school degree in electronics and a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in an electronics related industry, or a minimum of four to six years' experience in an electronics related industry.
• Must have through hole and surface mount components soldering skill.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
