We are seeking a CNC Machinist (Set Up Relief Operator) at our Cudahy, WI facility to work the weekend night shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6pm-6am, with training held on 1st shift for 60-90 days, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Following training you will work 36 hours but will be paid for 40. This position is responsible for all complete setups of CNC machines and running them on a relief basis. Position responsibilities include: Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools Performs complete disassembly of jobs Arranges tooling Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish and put in offsets Performs complete machining of first piece Verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing Running machines in a relief basis Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency required Ability to read blueprints 5-7 years of CNC experience Machining certificate preferred If you are organized, motivated and can work independently and as a part of a dynamic team, please contact us. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least 5 years of previous CNC operation experience. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications) Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator/Machinist Experience with metal forgings Machining Certification. Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T and ability to read blueprints Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
