Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Collections Manager to lead and support a team responsible for the collection of outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of collections operations and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and provide direction to collection management and supervisory staff.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce target collection goals; hold the team accountable for performance.
  • Hire, train, and support the development of new team members.
  • Analyze collection trends and performance by creating and maintaining detailed reports and dashboards.
  • Oversee payroll, time off requests, and ensure accurate performance reviews for staff.
  • Manage complex account resolutions, including negotiation of settlements on past due balances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive initiatives that support collection effectiveness and broader company goals.
  • Partner with Field Operations to strengthen collection strategies and provide support when needed.
  • Review and refine team performance metrics and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership on strategy, progress, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Support the management team with special projects and other duties as assigned to improve company performance.


Qualifications:



    • Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role within collections, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle operations.
    • Experience leading a team of 5 or more employees in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar tools; experience with collection systems preferred.
    • Solid understanding of budgeting processes, P&L accountability, and EFT banking procedures.
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Highly collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
    • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$98,000 $115,000 USD
