Serving as the civic center of the community, LCPL provides free and equal access to a full variety of library resources and innovative technologies to enhance the quality of life and meet the informational, educational, and cultural interests of the entire community.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of library logistics? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Library Courier.

Duties include:

• Safely operate the library's 26-foot box truck for over 100 miles round trip to transport books, media, and equipment to library branches and Library Administration.
• Demonstrate excellent driving techniques and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of designated routes, including city and town streets, roads, and highways.
• Sort book bins, distribute mail and library materials, and prepare Interlibrary Loan books for pickup.
• Transport furnishings and equipment for on-site and off-site library programs as needed, ensuring minimal impact on the daily delivery schedule. Help with other logistic projects as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Successful candidates will undergo background checks as required.
