What's the role?
The Market Reach SQL Developer is responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. This position works with other developers on development, optimization, and deployment of applications as necessary. This role is responsible for establishing best practices for utilizing SQL environments working with internal and external developers. Additionally, this position helps solve all database usage issues and generates ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

What does the role involve?
- Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, T-SQL Triggers, etc.
- Design, develop, and deploy SSIS Packages for ETL
- Maintain referential, domain, and column integrity by using the available options such as constraints etc.
- Identify columns for Primary Keys in all the tables at the design time and create them
- Design and develop successful database applications
- Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
- Microsoft SQL Server side development including (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS)
- Develop efficient, user friendly, front end interfaces for accessing data
- Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Business, Marketing, International Business, or Finance required
- Master's Degree in MIS, Business, Marketing, International Business, or Finance or MIS preferred
- Professional work experience preferred
- Experience with SQL Servers like Windows Server 2008 R2
- Working knowledge of .NET, C#, VBA, JavaScript, HTML, etc., development experience preferred
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
- Experience with some of the modern relational databases
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
- Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
- Strong organizational skills and process orientation required
- Ability to handle large work volume, multiple priorities, and ability to meet strict deadlines required
- Some experience working with Access applications and strong Excel skills
