What You Will Do

  • Lead a power distribution maintenance crew in a refinery environment, promoting a strong safety culture aligned with PBM principles.
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, compliance, reliability, quality, and cost.
  • Monitor and improve job execution in areas such as EHS, work quality, and productivity.
  • Support crew development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Troubleshoot power distribution issues and guide real-time problem solving.
  • Oversee safe work practices and deliver ongoing safety training.
  • Ensure proper documentation, data entry, and report generation.
  • Interface with vendors and manage contractor work as needed.
  • Handle employee concerns professionally and follow through on resolutions.
  • Coordinate with planners, engineers, and operators to schedule and complete jobs.
  • Develop the team's technical capability through training, mentorship, hands on etc.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in power distribution maintenance, testing, or engineering in a refinery, military, or petrochemical setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of power distribution systems including switchgear, protective relays, breakers, transformers, substations
  • Experience with asset management using test software such as PowerDB or similar
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical test equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Omicron CMC 356
    • Doble F6150, TDR900
    • Megger EGIL, MIT525, SPI225
    • Fluke 1555
    • Omicron CPC100

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Electrical Technology
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience with planning and scheduling electrical maintenance
  • Relevant certifications: NETA, NICET, journeyman/master electrician license, or military equivalent
