All Locations Maplewood , Minnesota , United States Job Description Description: This candidate will be responsible for performing product reliability testing, biological testing, analytics and application development to support biopharmaceutical filtration devices. These analyses include protein quantification, dynamic binding capacity and more. In addition, the candidate will be supporting the development of new applications of current filtration products. Responsibilities: Product reliability testing and analysis of biopharmaceutical filtration devices General laboratory activities and instrumentation including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances Characterize filtration media following documented SOPs and established test methods such as filter binding capacity, total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), charge capacity and microbial retention Complete a variety of bioassays including Protein purification, Host Cell Protein quantification, DNA quantification, mAb purification/quantification, ELISAs, qPCR/ddPCR, etc. Assist with the development of new applications for existing products using all previously described tests Assist with the validation of bioassay test methods May work with microbial and bacteriophage samples and challenges Possibly support all stages of the mammalian cell culture process including maintenance, transfection, etc. at flask and bioreactor levels General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance Requirements: S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related science Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven Able to communicate effectively Additional Information Benefits 80 hrs of paid vacation per year, 7 paid holidays per year, 2 floating holidays per year (prorated based on start date), 40 hrs paid sick time per year, paid bereavement leave (days based on relation to the employee), 8 hrs paid volunteer time per year, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, voluntary short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary supplemental life insurance, traditional 401k and ROTH 401k with a company match, HSA, FSA, employee referral bonus, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement program, employee recognition program, voluntary ID theft coverage, voluntary legal coverage, voluntary accident insurance, voluntary hospital indemnity insurance, and voluntary critical illness insurance.
