Description

Primary Duties:




  • Maintains a computerized inventory of all assigned equipment;
  • Coordinates the movement of equipment for in-house and/or outside calibration, service or repair. Performs relatively complex clerical/administrative assignments and solves problems that may have a variety of solutions.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
  • Completes the PR/closeout process in SAP.
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary. Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Perform buying duties when necessary.
  • Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy and specifications.
  • Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists.
  • Compare prices and delivery dates in order to determine the best price among potential suppliers.
  • Track the status of requisition and orders.
  • Calculate costs of orders, and forward invoices to appropriate accounts.
  • Monitor and update Calibration Lab database to stay on budget.
  • Check shipments/documents when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
  • Assist with overall maintenance of the office.
  • Types and proofreads reports, correspondence and forms using word processing equipment and software.
  • Answers the telephone, takes and relays messages and responds to phone inquiries.
  • Complete time sensitive monthly reconciliations reports.



Requirements:



  • Valid Driver's License - required
  • Ability to travel - required. (Less than 25%)
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree - preferred



Experience:



  • Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience using Metrack, MetCal and NAMIS-preferred



Clearance: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance - required, active secret - preferred

Physical Demands:
This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close and peripheral vision, and acceptable depth perception.

Hourly salary $35.51

Work Environment:
The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
