At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Leader - Facilities / Parts Reliability based in our Dallas, Texas manufacturing facility.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Leader is responsible for the equipment maintenance plan and breakdown analysis execution. The role of the Maintenance Leader is to champion equipment reliability and performance through parts management and parts inventory and accuracy. Improvement of workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of parts, material and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

    Review and prioritize work orders, parts requests and notifications within 24 hours of generation.
  • Ensure the work order/parts request backlog is current, sorted for reporting.
  • Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities and today's plan in the Daily Meeting. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion, and break in work.
  • Actively support and coordinate the planned stop, incorporating work orders and maintenance tasks into the Plan
  • Lead the fulfillment of parts for the next week.
  • Management and oversight of designated storerooms
  • Supervise the parts clerks to ensure compliance with Danone's internal policies and financial rules related to: Parts retrieval, accurate creation of good receipts in multiple systems, discrepancy reconciliation, returns (RMA's/RGA's)
  • Lead the fulfilment of parts requests for maintenance work for the next month and update requestor on status of their requests.
  • Lead kitting process of planned work for each business unit
  • Improvement of workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of parts, material and equipment.
  • Ensure the revision and updating of "Maintenance Technical Documentation" occurs as necessary.
  • Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): New Vendor Creation, Quality Control, Cost Reduction, Risk Mitigation, Lead Time Improvements, Return of Goods
  • Create One Point Lessons (OPL) and train and qualify parts inventory team in parts maintenance activities as well as operations leaders.
  • Develop and update min/max requirements and inventory plan and calendar.
  • Ensure maintenance indicator results & in process measures are tracked and kept current.
  • Ensure results of maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and in process measures are used to assess the progress of the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MP&S) system and to determine equipment reliability. Results are shared with the department leadership in the monthly meeting.
  • Monitor the health of Preventative Maintenance (PM), Daily Management System (DMS), and recommend corrective action with line team: Breakdown Elimination (BDE), MP&S, support Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Clean Inspect and Lubricate (CIL), Centerline (CL), Defect Handling (DH), workshop and facilities, lubrication, maintenance costs, parts usage, and life.
  • Develop improvement plans though the tracking of maintenance indicators & in process measures.
  • Ensures all equipment design change proposals (corrective maintenance), add/delete/modify work follows the Change Management (CM) procedures.
  • Confirm maintenance technical documentation and equipment drawings and schematics are complete, accurate, easy to find and easy to use.
  • Collaborate with the storeroom to identify obsolete parts, off quality parts, ideal in stock numbers, required delivery time of parts, etc.
  • Provides feedback to design on any new equipment or line speed changes.
  • Participate in vendor acceptance testing or other project work on new products or equipment.
  • Be a member of the PM pillar team as required and own a site PM system as required.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert that is called upon to support the team down the IWS path including coaching and developing other maintenance leaders both in the plant and within the network.
  • Deliver on SQCDMN daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual and team efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment.

About You

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent is preferred.
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fundamental knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fundamental skills in influencing and persuasion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions.
  • Ability to be self-directed with little supervision.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operation, may include working overtime, graveyard shift and/or weekends as needed.
