Assistant Manager, Learning & Talent Development Reporting

Overview

Manage data & analytic projects, reporting, and detailed data analyses to drive operations, business decisions, and to measure the overall impact of Learning & Talent Development programs on the organization. Partner across the division to develop and maintain the analytics roadmap; create and coordinate the delivery of visualizations and analytics to improve the ability to transform data into actionable insight. Support division in developing and executing analytic plans to align with learning and talent development efforts. Work is performed under limited supervision and role may act as Manager in the incumbent's absence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a scalable learning measurement strategy aligned with business goals and talent development priorities
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), success metrics, and evaluation methodologies (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model, ROI, performance outcomes)
  • Partner across Learning & Talent Development to analyze and implement programs, practices, and learning content which support our talent strategies and development efforts
  • Manage team to mine learning and talent datasets for new sources of information to better understand drivers of employee experience in their career journey
  • Manage and lead business intelligence development, including scope, methodology, requirements gathering, design, implementation and maintenance
  • Oversee project management of multiple reporting, dashboard development, ad-hoc analysis and data initiatives
  • Develop dashboards leveraging best practices in data visualization and champion the use across the department
  • Optimize business operations' performance by analyzing current and forecasting future performance to support strategic initiatives
  • Consult with stakeholders and business unit partners to define key performance indicators, short/long-term goals and objectives, initiatives, and actions plans
  • Maintain understanding of business direction and work closely with stakeholders to ensure analytic output addresses business needs
  • Partner with internal business partners and external vendors to ensure successful data integration
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and NFCU policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Significant, progressively responsible experience leading and managing an analytics operation
  • Knowledge of general learning and development processes and objectives and ability to measure/evaluate them using analytical methods and tools
  • Working knowledge in the use of statistical modeling software (e.g. SAS or SPSS)
  • Significant experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems
  • Expert skill developing dashboards and reports, preferably with Power BI
  • Significant experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Significant experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
  • Significant experience supervising and leading professional employees
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
  • Advanced skill in results-oriented leadership in a challenging environment
  • Advanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
  • Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
  • Advanced skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
  • Advanced skill with HCM Cloud Dashboard / FDI & OTBI reports
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
