Description
- Overall Responsibility: This high travel position will lead business development efforts with an emphasis on technology, software products and services. The position is with Arora Engineering Group, PA, a subsidiary of Arora Engineers, Inc. Serve as the Sales Manager for the business development team under AEG and a future joint venture. Sales of enhanced solutions for data and work order management needs for the built infrastructure environment. This position is with Arora Technology Group, a subsidiary of Arora Engineers, Inc.
- Essential Functions:
- Utilizes existing network and new contacts to proactively pursue new business within aviation and transportation agencies.
- Lead business development efforts for AEG products and services in multiple business verticals with a focus on Aviation.
- Attends conferences and trade shows to promote AEG and Arora's offerings.
- Supports the development and strategic direction of the Arora/AEG service/product line guiding market needs for further development and customized solutions.
- Prepares written scope and cost proposals and executes professional service and recurring revenue contracts.
- Works with the Operations team to ensure sales commitments are carried through with the client.
- Meets sales goals as determined by Arora Management.
- Supports creating of a business plan to align with Arora Engineers overall strategy, while creating district-specific methods and plan for market penetration and approach.
- Advises and supports project management post-sale, primarily in a client liaison capacity, using other support skills as needed.
- Seeks out international opportunities with prior discussion and planning and as directed by management.
- Manages, reviews, and oversees AEG and joint venture sales staff.
- Supports the interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of incoming Business Development staff as directed.
- Secondary Functions:
- Other related duties as assigned by the SVP of Marketing / Business Development.
- As needed or as opportunities arise, identify and assist in pursuit of Arora Engineers service offerings including but not limited to: Geospatial Technologies Solutions, Engineering, and Construction Management.
- Supports sales and pursuit strategies for Electronic Data Inc. (EDI), and Asset Management technology solutions, working closely with the EDI team.
Qualifications
- Needed Skills:
- Knowledge of agency procurement processes and a network of high-level decision-making contacts within the aviation field.
- High technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products and services and convey benefits to prospects.
- Ability to create opportunities, drive a sales process, close deals, and assist in their implementation.
- Experience and knowledge of marketing and business development as it pertains to the A/E industry.
- Ability to discuss A/E industry on global level.
- Proven record of increasing marketing and business development successes in the A/E and Technology field, particularly as related to sales goals.
- Proven record of increasing expertise, including: decision making, flexibility, problem-solving, reasoning, strategic thinking, and accountability.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communications written and spoken English.
- Ability to initiate communications to all levels of audience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fluency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, vendors and advisors.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security statuses.
- Ability to travel extensively on a regular basis.
- Holds a legal right to work in US.
- Education/Experience Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
- 8+ years of technology and software solutions sales with progressive responsibility including closing sales.
