A Taste of What You'll Do

Join our team as a Groundskeeper at our esteemed Winery, where your passion for nature and dedication to sustainability will thrive. Under minimal supervision, you'll be entrusted with maintaining the beauty and health of our grounds and gardens. Your work will reflect our unwavering commitment to quality care, sustainable farming practices, and the conservation of resources and energy. You will perform landscaping and related responsibilities to ensure our property and equipment are always in pristine condition, adhering to established safety protocols.

In this role, you will be responsible for plant landscaping at our facility, utilizing both gas and electric-powered tools like mowers, tractors, sprayers, weed-eaters, blowers, chainsaws, and hedgers. Your expertise will also be required in applying pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides, as well as maintaining lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and weed control. You will install and repair sprinkler systems and maintain storm drains to ensure efficient water management. Keeping a safe and organized work environment is paramount, and reporting unsafe conditions for corrective measures is crucial.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year experience landscaping, production, operations, or construction environment.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Internal/external customer service experience.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Basic computer skills, specifically email and simple data entry.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience in landscaping, production, operations, or construction environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
