The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, generally between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This employee must live within a commutable distance of the Clark College campus in Vancouver but will be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week. The position requires flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and altered schedules to accommodate project deadlines, donor/funder needs, and meetings/events outside of usual business hours.

Position Responsibilities

Major Functions/Responsibilities:

In partnership with, as well as at the direction of, the Associate Vice President of Development.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Donor Identification, Cultivation and Stewardship

  • In close partnership with the Advancement Operations team, identify new and lapsed donors; work to establish process for disqualifications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of approximately 200 prospective and existing donors.
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings to engage donors.
  • Create and pitch new ways to use email marketing tools to identify and engage with new prospective donors.
  • Solicit donors for gifts of under $10,000.
  • In collaboration with the Advancement Operations team, identify prospective donors with capacity of over $10,000 for the major gift team.
  • Steward current donors through established best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records in the fundraising database (CRM) Raiser's Edge NXT.

Campus Collaboration

  • Work with the Clark College faculty and staff to advance the Clark College mission.
  • Coordinate with Clark College Foundation team members who manage planned giving, annual giving, corporate and foundation giving, stewardship, external relations, partner development and others to develop and implement thoughtful plans to strengthen, deepen, and expand relationships with donors and potential donors.
  • Attend appropriate Clark College and Clark College Foundation events, programs, advisory committees and meetings.

Job Scope:

Position encounters frequent new and varied work situations involving moderate complexity.

Complexity is due to interactions with diverse groups of people and involvement with various

projects and responsibilities of the Associate Vice President of Development, Development Team, CEO, Board of Directors, Administrative staff, and the Clark College community. The position requires working from some established procedures but often determining practices and policies for assigned responsibilities. Operates independently with minimal supervision and as a team member. Must maintain confidentiality regarding decisions and documents.


Qualifications

Experience in progressively responsible administrative support positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Additionally, ability to function effectively using varied technology platforms, including but not limited to, Asana, Zoom, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe PDF, Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, or other CRM systems, and email marketing tool Emma.

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred for this position. Clark College Foundation will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. Supplemental Information

Annual Salary: $75,000-$78,000
