Job Title: Claims Assistant Workplace Type: Hybrid (2 days in-office after training) Job Category: Claims Representative Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Client: A TEKsystems Partner About the Role TEKsystems is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Assistant for one of our clients. This hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with strong administrative and Excel skills, and prior experience processing claims for insurance companies-especially in backend claims or underwriting assistance. Key Responsibilities * Support Claims Managers by preparing documentation for claim evaluations and reports. * Maintain spreadsheets, bordereaux, and databases for data analysis and presentation. * Liaise with service providers, brokers, and stakeholders to support claims management. * Assist in claim reviews and audits of internal/external files. * Participate in cross-functional projects and provide input to underwriters. * Ensure timely contact, follow-up, and payments. * Prepare claims summaries and respond to reinsurance queries. * Build strong working relationships across teams. Must-Have Skills * Administrative and customer service experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) * Prior experience processing claims for insurance companies (backend claims or underwriting assistance preferred) Nice-to-Have Skills * Claims or customer support experience * Bachelor's degree Work Environment & Perks * Brand-new open office in a vibrant area * Flexible seating with direct access to team members * Business casual dress code * Weekly team meetings with note-taking responsibilities Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
