We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our growing IT team in Lincoln, NE. This role supports a high-volume data environment focused on Genomics, Animal, and Food Safety. As the organization transitions from third-party systems to in-house development, this position will play a key role in building scalable, efficient applications and data systems.
Responsibilities * Collaborate with laboratory, data, and project managers to define project plans and priorities * Develop internal applications to improve operational efficiency and accuracy * Create and maintain documentation including design specs, business flows, and user stories * Coordinate user training and testing procedures for new and existing applications * Troubleshoot bugs, identify root causes, and implement resolutions * Continuously assess system performance and propose improvements * Support ISO procedures and quality standards * Maintain focus on cost-effective development and system maintenance * Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Required Skills * Senior-level experience with C#.NET and .NET Core * Strong proficiency in SQL and MySQL * Experience with MongoDB * AWS development experience (EC2, SDK, Lambdas, S3) * Familiarity with Umbraco, JavaScript, HTML Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Proven experience in software development across multiple coding languages * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and development platforms Competencies * Performance-driven and quality-focused * Strong analytical and organizational skills * Adaptability to changing environments and priorities * Ethical, dependable, and collaborative * Effective communication and documentation abilities Physical Requirements * Regularly required to stand, handle equipment, and communicate clearly * Occasionally required to walk, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds * Must have close vision and color vision capabilities *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
