Director of Lending Operations Location: Onsite - Arizona Relocation: Compensation available for qualified candidates Overview The Director of Lending Operations will lead and optimize the Underwriting, Processing, Setup Desk, Closing, and Post-Closing teams to deliver a seamless, client-focused mortgage experience. This strategic leader will drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to support the company's mission to modernize the mortgage industry. Key Responsibilities * Oversee all lending operations teams, setting clear goals and performance expectations. * Design and implement strategies to streamline workflows across underwriting, processing, and closing functions. * Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance technology adoption and ensure a smooth end-to-end lending experience. * Establish and monitor KPIs, quality assurance frameworks, and risk mitigation plans. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. * Mentor and develop team members, promoting career growth and skill advancement. * Drive process improvements to reduce turnaround times and increase operational efficiency. * Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership. Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in mortgage lending operations, including leadership of underwriting, processing, and closing teams. * Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. * Deep understanding of mortgage regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practices. * Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on data-informed decision-making. * Must be willing to work onsite in Arizona; relocation compensation is available.
