*Patient Scheduler - Full-Time *
Join one of New Jersey's leading healthcare systems and be a part of an organized and supportive patient scheduling department. *6 Month Contract to Hire* (Long-term & Permanent Opportunity) *Location (Onsite)*: 2 positions in Vineland or Galloway, New Jersey *Schedul*e: Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) *Pay Rate*: $19/HR As a Patient Scheduler, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, referring physicians, and healthcare providers. Your role is essential in coordinating appointments, optimizing schedules, and supporting patients throughout their care journey. *Key Responsibilities:* * Communicate with patients via phone to schedule appointments and provide pre-procedure instructions. * Coordinate imaging and consultation appointments (ultrasound, CT, MRI) based on provider availability and patient needs. * Act as the primary liaison for scheduling inquiries, appointment changes, and care coordination. * Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, including patient demographics and imaging orders. * Prepare patient charts and upload physician orders and documentation in a timely manner. * Arrange transportation services for patients requiring travel assistance. * Collaborate with providers, technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth scheduling and patient care. *Requirements:* * *Minimum 1.5 years of medical scheduling experience* (3+ years preferred). * Strong knowledge of *medical terminology* and familiarity with specialty care. * Excellent communication skills and a professional phone demeanor. * Ability to remain calm and solution-focused when assisting irate or anxious patients. * High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. * Willingness to learn quickly and adapt during a structured 1-month training period. * Experience with EMR systems and insurance verification is a plus. *Additional Information:* * Be part of a *mission-driven healthcare system* known for excellence and innovation. * Work in a *collaborative, patient-centered environment*. * Enjoy opportunities for *growth, learning, and advancement*. * Make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families every day. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
