Position Title: Material Handler

Material Handler Responsibilities: - Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution - Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area - Maintain inventory by identifying and reporting shortages - Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying based on production orders - Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies - Locate and pack materials for shipping - Document materials and record units delivered and location of units - Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers and quantities - Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing product - Document product shipment by recording units shipped - Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery to move items or signal machine operator to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks - Keep inventory, loading area, and machinery clean - Open containers, sort, and catalog materials - Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations Requirements for Material Handler: - Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet - Previous stock inventory experience a plus - Organizational skills - Adept to handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously - Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines - Excellent time management - Process improvement mindset - Knowledge of inventory control - Proficiency with / knowledge of basic e-mail software and tablet usage - Basic mathematical, reading, writing and comprehension skills - Able to stand, lift up to 50Ibs and bend throughout 10-hour shift racine@qpsemployment.com IND012 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
