Description

The Judaic Studies Program at Tufts University announces a part-time, one-semester position in classical Jewish literature, beginning in January 2026. The teaching responsibility will be for two courses in the Spring semester. One of these courses will be Introduction to Talmud, taught in English, and another whose topic will be by arrangement with the Judaic Studies Program. Both courses should bring to bear interdisciplinary theoretical perspectives, e.g., literary, gender, or ritual theory or cultural studies, on post-biblical, classical Jewish literature. Courses may also run at the 100-level with additional readings and coursework in Hebrew. Possibility of renewal for a full year with a teaching load of one course per semester.
