Position Highlights |
The Postdoctoral Researcher will lead and support experimental research on visual and perception and decision-making in complex environments, with a focus on medical image perception and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This position offers hands-on experience with behavioral, eye tracking and EEG methods, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for mentorship, authorship, and grant development. Our main focus is in how people search withing the visual world, and in particular, how do people search for signs of cancer.The ideal candidate had experience in human visual or medical imaging research, experience with EEG and eye tracking methods, and has strong programming and data analyses experience. Duties & Responsibilities |
Core Research Activities
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and preparing reports.
- Writing, Publication Dissemination of research: Preparing manuscripts. publication in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to grant proposals, and presenting research findings at conferences and lab meetings.
- Literature Review: Staying up-to-date with relevant research and participating in scientific discussions.
Lab and Mentorship Responsibilities:
- Lab Management: Performing assigned lab duties, maintaining stock reagents, and ensuring general lab operations.
Mentorship: - Guiding and mentoring other researchers, including graduate and undergraduate students.
Collaboration: - Working with other researchers within the lab and potentially with external research groups.
Grant Writing: Contributing to the development of grant proposals and progress reports. Organization and Traveling to remote locations for data collection

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
