Description
HOLT CAT, the largest Caterpillar heavy equipment dealership in the United States, is hiring a full-time Shop Parts Coordinator at our Anna, Texas location, situated at 451 E. Outer Loop Road, Anna, TX 75409. The Shop Parts Coordinator is responsible for ordering new parts, staging parts, inspecting parts, and returning parts/cores in support of the Service Department. This position will also be responsible for completing inventory functions and cleanliness of the parts warehouse.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development Essential Functions: * Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission * Ensures that appropriate parts are available and order as necessary for the service department * Maintains parts inventory and cleanliness of warehouse * Processes credits as needed * Assists the parts counter and will call customers * Delivers parts as needed to job sites and customer locations * Performs parts inventory functions up to, but not limited to; daily bin and cycle counts, putting up stock orders, receiving and acknowledging parts back orders, and pick/pack/shipment of all parts orders * Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards * Assumes turn in after-hour call out rotation to assist customers in after hour call out needs, to be measured by adherence to set schedule and call out report provided to management by the answering service, and customer feedback * Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs to include on call rotation * Requires regular and punctual employee attendance * Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software such as Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word * Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; plan for additional resources * Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices * Verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Exceptional customer service skills * Operation and control skills of equipment or systems * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing * Ability to read, write, and understand information * Ability to meet deadlines and work under fast-paced, time constraining circumstances * Ability to operate a conventional forklift * Ability to maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers * Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands in order to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * One or more years of experience required * Has successfully met requirements for Parts Warehouse Associates 1 & 2 Supervisory Responsibilities: * None Travel: * Minimal training related travel required for this position * Daily travel will vary depending on delivering of parts to customers and field technicians in a company vehicle * Valid Driver's license required Physical Requirements: * Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue * Significant amount of time standing, walking, * Minimal amount of time kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, crawling, balancing and reaching * Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity * Communicates with customers, service managers, and co-workers * Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work * Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 65 lbs. * Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment Work Environment: * Regularly works indoors * Occasionally outdoors, under cover * Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable * Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment * Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
