About the role

As a senior consultant - project manager in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our state clients and their health information network initiatives. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. This role has a hybrid work schedule, allowing for remote work as well on-site in the Albany area with the client, as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of key projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines using project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Planner).
  • Work alongside numerous stakeholder groups to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate project meetings and ensure that the right participants are engaged and prepared.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Deliver high-quality project status reports and presentations that clearly communicate progress, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Work within a larger project management team.
  • Manage and maintain multiple calendars.


About You:
Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a project manager within healthcare, Medicaid, or other public sector programs, policies, or systems.
  • Experience updating, maintaining, and managing projects and project logs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with health information technology projects.
  • Project management professional (PMP), certified associate in project management (CAPM), or other project management certifications.


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, business, public health, health informatics or a related discipline and five years of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and professional experience will be considered.



The target base salary for this position is $79,000.00 to $109,000.00 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
