We are seeking a Sr Business Analyst with deep functional and operational expertise to support a leading broker-dealer client. This is not a technical BA role-our ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of business processes within financial services, particularly in brokerage, wealth management, or advisory services. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Job Duties: * Collaborate with business and product owners to define project scope, objectives, and requirements using industry best practices. * Lead or support cross-functional teams in analyzing and improving business processes to address moderate to complex challenges. * Contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, build, testing, and defect resolution. * Document user stories, business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications with clarity and precision. * Translate business needs into actionable functional requirements and acceptance criteria. * Review and contribute to system/process/data flow diagrams and technical documentation. * Use SQL to perform data queries (simple to moderately complex) to support analysis and validation. * Partner with project managers to provide accurate task estimates and timelines. * Travel up to 20% may be required. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. * 5 years of experience as a Sr Business Analyst supporting Wealth Management projects/operations/products is required. * Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in brokerage, wealth management, advisory, trading platforms, or cash management. * Proven ability to lead the creation of high-quality business and functional documentation (BRDs, FRDs, etc.). * Deep understanding of business analysis best practices, SDLC, release/change management, and process modeling. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools. * Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a track record of leading productive meetings. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. * Experience developing business analysis plans and estimating project phases. * Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools. * Experience working in a remote, cross-functional team environment. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
