GENERAL FUNCTION: The Financial Sponsors Group ("FSG") resides within Fifth Third Bank's capital market platform, Fifth Third Capital Markets. FSG is responsible for strategically

developing long-term partnerships with leading private equity firms to originate transaction opportunities in the areas of debt capital markets, equity capital markets, leveraged finance and M&A. In this capacity, FSG ensures seamless coordination of Fifth Third's capital markets

and financing capabilities in support of providing strategic ideas/opportunities, transaction execution capabilities and the bank's capital to our private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Fifth Third's focus private equity clients are typically focused on investing in the middle market and upper middle market across a range of targeted industry sectors, including Business Services,

Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Industrials and Technology/Media/Telecom

The Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day client coverage, transaction origination, transaction execution and practice development activities of the team. The Analyst will establish strong working relationships with key product partner groups and internal industry teams within Fifth Third Capital Markets and Fifth Third Bank to help ensure timely development of a high quality external and internal work product and seamless and well-coordinated execution for the team's clients. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Successfully complete required training

. Develop the concepts of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets and credit needed to support transactions

. Perform detailed valuation analyses and build financial models to support client idea generation and advisory / capital raise assignments

. Assist in the preparation of high quality presentation materials for use in client meetings and internal deal approvals

. Exhibit high attention to detail and discipline to check work to produce error free and

properly formatted work on a consistent basis . Assist in the origination and execution of transactions

. Gain exposure to the full spectrum of capital market solutions and how they apply to specific client situations and changing market conditions

. Manage priorities while working on a number of high priority opportunities simultaneously with oversight from Associates or other senior bankers

. Communicate effectively with deal team members on status and prioritization of projects . Develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Capital Markets and the rest of the organization

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

. BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting (or similar field) with evidence of a strong record of academic performance .

. Exhibit strong work ethic and passion for excellence

. Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail

. Strong written and oral communication skills

. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

. Strong long-term career interest in investment banking / corporate finance

. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79,63 license required
