The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Director for the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery! Our Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery division is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Physicians in the UW Department of Ob/Gyn Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery provide a broad range of basic and specialized medical and surgical services related to complex pelvic floor disorders:
Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of patients at the UW Health and Meriter Hospitals. Responsibilities include management of complex pelvic floor disorders as well as full-time call for urogynecology patients and consults. In addition, the candidate will continue to build an advanced sub-specialty practice. This position will include working with the Gynecologic Oncology (Gyn Onc) and Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ASOG) Divisions, assessing advanced gynecologic disease. The incumbent will participate in opportunities for community service at the department, school, and institution levels appropriate to the tenure/CHS faculty rank. Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents and fellowships. This will include responsibilities in the simulation lab, developing advanced skills and metrics for learners. The candidate is also expected to oversee the training of residents and fellows in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit.
Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
