Location:This role is fully remote

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Vice President of Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) to lead the strategy and evolution of our enterprise applications landscape. Reporting to the CIO, this role will be responsible for aligning enterprise systems with business goals across Finance, PeopleOps, Customer Success, and other internal teams.

This is a foundational role-responsible not for building from zero, but for evaluating, scaling, and modernizing existing processes and systems while laying the groundwork for future-forward, cloud-based implementations. You'll serve as a connective leader across business stakeholders, technology teams, and program management-ensuring Machinify's internal systems grow as intelligently as the AI products we build for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Systems Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and evolve our EBA strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence across the enterprise systems portfolio.
  • Provide architectural and governance oversight for all enterprise business systems (e.g., Finance, PeopleOps, Legal, Revenue Operations).
  • Drive the selection, design, and implementation of cloud-first business platforms-balancing speed with stakeholder alignment.

Operational Maturity & Process Evolution

  • Assess existing application environments and identify opportunities to mature practices, streamline / automate workflows, and modernize integrations.
  • Establish and socialize enterprise application standards for experience, configuration, organization, user accessibility, and ongoing support.
  • - Create shared frameworks for intake, prioritization, and decision-making around application-related initiatives.

Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Act as the key liaison between business units and the technology organization-translating business needs into scalable system solutions.
  • Partner with program and project managers (in adjacent teams) to ensure seamless execution, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams to ensure systems are performant, compliant, and reliable.

Cloud-Native Orientation

  • Lead with a cloud-first mindset for all net-new application rollouts; ensure modern APIs and interoperability are considered core requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of hybrid infrastructure realities, offering guidance and strategic insight where legacy system integration is necessary.

Qualifications
Required

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise business applications, systems, or IT leadership roles; with 5+ years at the executive or senior director level.
  • Deep experience deploying and managing business platforms such as Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar SaaS solutions.
  • Track record of scaling enterprise application strategies in high-growth or tech-driven organizations.
  • Expertise in governance, systems integration, change management, and business enablement across domains (especially Finance and PeopleOps).
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; able to engage at both executive and operational levels.

Preferred

  • Experience in HealthTech or with healthcare payers, particularly in regulated or complex business environments.
  • Familiarity with both Mac and Windows endpoint environments.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures, even if net-new deployments are fully cloud-based.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus, but not required.

What We're Looking For

  • Strategic operator with a strong execution track record.
  • Systems thinker who can balance architecture, operations, and human enablement.
  • Fluent in the language of both business and technology-with a bias toward outcomes, not complexity.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, AI-native environments with evolving business priorities.
  • Leader who can inspire trust, drive accountability, and build durable frameworks.
