Description

Come join the Technology and Manufacturing Group working on products from our Artificial Intelligence Solutions Division



Join our cutting-edge test engineering team in Hillsboro, Oregon as a Co-op Mixed Signal Test Engineer and work hands-on with the latest technology in analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems. You'll contribute to developing and executing test methodologies that ensure the performance, reliability, and functionality of our ICs and systems. Ideal for students who love blending hardware curiosity with software savvy.



Co-op duration: January - June 2026

Responsibilities


  • Assist in designing, developing, and debugging automated test setups for mixed-signal circuits



  • Collaborate with engineers to write and modify test programs using lab equipment and scripting languages (e.g., Python)



  • Execute validation and characterization routines for new silicon



  • Analyze and document test results to support yield improvement and reliability assessment



  • Support the transition of test solutions from development to production



  • Conduct data analysis using statistical tools and generate reports



  • Participate in test board bring-up and root-cause failure investigations



Required Experience and Skills


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field



  • Solid understanding of analog/digital electronics and signal processing concepts



  • Familiarity with mixed-signal instruments such as oscilloscopes, AWGs, SMUs, and logic analyzers



  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, Visual Basic, C++) is a plus



  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills



  • Excellent communication and teamwork



Desired Experience and Skills


  • Hands-on experience with IC characterization or lab work



  • Knowledge of semiconductor testing flows and ATE systems



The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
