Description

Summary: The Seafood Processor L48 - Tier 1 processes Seafood products and is assigned to one product line by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans, scrapes, trims, and fillets product.

  • Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter.

  • Skillfully fillets for finishing seafood products into predetermined sizes.

  • Works with precision knives and tools to meet product specifications.

  • Accurately weighs and sorts fish according to product or customer specifications.

  • Attentive to minimizing waste and achieving consistent results.

  • Labels and packages seafood according to product guidelines.

  • Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.

  • Tasks and assignments must always be performed in a safe manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.

  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of$20.26 to $20.76 per hour

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No prior experience or training required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous food production experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is required to work around moving belts or machinery.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
